In the wake of concerning disclosures about the treatment of minors undergoing gender transition procedures, the Australian Christians Party has pledged its intention to initiate a detailed inquiry into these practices, particularly those facilitated by The Gender Services unit at Perth Children’s Hospital and overseen by the WA Department of Health.
“Our party is deeply committed to the safety and wellbeing of our children,” Mrs Groenewald declared. “The unsettling revelations around the WPATH guidelines have only strengthened our resolve to get to the bottom of so-called “gender-affirming care” on Children in WA.”
“When elected, we pledge to launch an exhaustive inquiry into gender transition procedures on Western Australian minors and push for legislation that protects them from irreparable and potential harm,
“Due to the 2021 Legislative Council reforms, the Australian Christians Party have a very realistic shot at electing between one and three MPs in 2025, giving us significant leverage to get this inquiry launched,
“We’ve been alerted to the possible dangers these procedures can inflict on children – we cannot ignore the truth of the harm we as a society are permitting our children to be subjected to,
“Our inquiry will focus on how many minors have been exposed to these procedures and a full review of the Standard of Care currently in place in WA which are believed to be based on WPATH’s dangerous “best practice” guidelines,
“This is not “gender-affirming care” – it is the opposite. It cannot be “care” because it harms the child and it cannot affirm their gender while attempting to change their sex,
“Protecting our young ones from harmful, life-altering procedures is our top priority, and we will work tirelessly to safeguard the future wellbeing of our children and young people.”
