One of the first things that shocks anyone new to the pro-life cause in Australia is how little data exists on abortion. In Western Australia, this isn’t an accident—it’s deliberate.
Take the latest example. WA Labor recently passed the most disturbing law in the State’s history, scrapping the requirement to report live births during abortion procedures to the Coroner. Let that sink in: Babies who survive attempted abortions are now completely ignored.
Why do pro-abortion politicians go to such lengths to suppress the facts? Because they know that real data would expose this cruel agenda. International studies consistently show that the overwhelming majority of abortions are elective, not due to medical emergencies or sexual assault. In the United States, new research revealed that 1 in 10 chemical abortions leads to serious health complications for the mother. When people learn the truth, they often change their minds.
In WA, abortion is available to underage girls without their parents ever being told. Late-term abortion is allowed with no real restrictions. And if a baby survives an abortion attempt, the law permits them to be left to die.
Labor doesn’t want you to know this – actually, they don’t want anyone to know this.
That’s why they avoid scrutiny, reject transparency, and call people like me liars. They know that if the public knew what was really happening, they wouldn’t be able to defend their passionate pro-abortion advocacy.
This is why we must elect sensible, pro-life politicians. You don’t need to be Christian or religious to understand that this is wrong. Only then can we expose the truth about the way we treat the most vulnerable in society in our nation.
