With the federal election just around the corner, we must ask ourselves what kind of leadership this country needs.
The world is changing rapidly—and we have a responsibility to be salt and light.
I’ve had so many conversations with voters who say they’re sick of what they call “the culture war.” They want politics to be more stable, more boring, less emotional. I understand that reaction, but I have to tell you something that may be hard to hear.
We don’t get to opt out.
Cultural ebbs and flows are inevitable as society changes. The question we need to ask ourselves is, what is the change we want to see?
Politics, after all, is the battle of the ideas, and the more we remove ourselves from this crucial conversation, the more we create space for something else to fill that gap.
You might be tired of the fight, or think it’s futile—but it isn’t! Fighting to preserve that which is good and true remains necessary. Yes, there are many aggressors in the culture war. They have goals. They want to redefine family, erase gender, silence dissent, and push radical ideologies into our schools and institutions. And they’ll keep pushing to achieve these ends unless we draw the line in the sand.
Choosing not to engage just because it feels uncomfortable is never helpful or wise.
If we want peace, then we need to be willing to step into this fight with prayer and grit. Ignorance and apathy are no longer excuses.
Australian Christians are anchored in timeless, Biblical values for good reason. Opinions, influencers, or trends do not set our course.
We know what we believe, and we’ll stand firm, even when it’s unpopular. We don’t engage in identity politics. We don’t smear or lie. But we won’t back down from truth.
So if you’re done with the shouting and spin, but still believe Australia is worth fighting for, vote 1 for Australian Christians and join us as a member!
