Originally from India, Jiby Joy made Western Australia his home in 2006, starting his career as a nurse. His passion for serving the community and making a difference led to his election as a City Councillor for the City of Armadale in 2023, where he has been a strong advocate for the residents’ needs and concerns.
Jiby is involved in his local church, St. Francis Xavier Church Hilbert, where he serves as an Acolyte and Special Minister. His commitment to justice is also demonstrated by his work as a Justice of the Peace and his volunteer service with the Street Chaplain ministry, helping the homeless and those in need.
In addition to his public service as a Councillor, Jiby and his wife, Kavitha, both serve as nurses at Armadale Hospital, and they’ve raised five children together. Jiby is also the founder and director of a home-building company, showcasing his leadership in both the professional and civic spheres.
